Sun, shine, and serious style at Meguiar’s HQ in Auckland

On Sunday 22nd June, the car community came together for something special — Elite Street, a one-off event hosted at Meguiar’s New Zealand HQ to celebrate some of the very best of Kiwi car culture and welcome a global guest: Michael Stoops, Meguiar’s Senior Global Product & Training Specialist.

Despite a frosty start to the morning, the skies turned on a brilliant blue backdrop, setting the scene for an incredible day filled with chrome, conversations, and connection. With 100 vehicles on display, the event showcased a stunning variety of makes and models — from timeless classics and modern performance cars, to Euro beauties, British icons, Aussie favourites, American muscle, hot rods, and a strong showing of JDM legends.

More Than Just a Show

Elite Street wasn’t a competition — it was a celebration. No judging, no trophies, just a shared love for vehicles and the stories behind them. The event was open to all Meguiar’s NZ subscribers, with registration capped at 100 cars due to venue size. The result? A vibrant and diverse gathering that reflected the depth and passion of New Zealand’s automotive community.

A Special Guest from the USA

The event was made even more memorable thanks to the presence of Michael Stoops, who made the journey from the United States to experience our local car culture firsthand. Known globally for his detailing expertise, Michael spent the day mingling with attendees, chatting with car owners, and soaking in the unique Kiwi vibe.

He also hosted a live demonstration, transforming the bonnet of a car using Meguiar’s premium detailing products. The crowd watched as he polished and protected the paint to a flawless, high-gloss finish — showcasing just how effective the right technique and products can be in restoring shine and depth. The hands-on session gave enthusiasts valuable tips and a chance to ask questions directly from one of the best in the business.
